About Us

We are a dream, a project born from decades of family tradition.

Our story begins in in 1946, with our grandfather, Don Armando, who left the legacy of gastronomy and hospitality in our family. 

His grandson René, better known by his family and friends as “Coco”, along with his wife, Pilar carried on this legacy and created the project of "La casa de Coco".

In 2014 we opened the restaurant "El Quincho de Coco", which quickly received recognition for its high quality service and delicious local dishes prepared by the hand of Pilar. Committed to support our local community and care for the environment, almost all of our dishes are prepared with locally sourced products.

The success story of our restaurant inspired us to venture into hospitality and create "La Casa De Coco", one of the first of its kind environmentally conscious hotel in the region of Araucania.

To achieve this we have incorporated sustainability in every aspect of our business.

Our rooms are delicately furnished with recycled wood, to create a rustic but elegant look, so typical of southern Chile.

To cut the emissions, we heat our water with solar thermo panels.

Food waste is collected and sent to a local farm to be used as animal feed or to produce organic fertilizer.

We also use refillable bottles to reduce waste from amenities (zero plastic waste).

We believe that small actions generate big changes, that is why we care about the details.
